I want to upgrade the firmware in my blackberry 7290 and my phone is current sim unlocked, I want to know if I upgrade, the phone will locked to the carrier firmware that I put in. thanks.

I just bought my first blackberry and I have no idea how it all works. I was wondering if there was a way to watch videos from youtube. Whenever I try it an error message appears. If its impossible to play them does anyone know where else I could download or watch videos?

For example, when the ringer is off, but the phone is one, is there a clock display that shows, and also displays an icon for missed calls, like on Nokia phones? I’m thinking of getting a Blackberry, but I really like to be able to glance at my phone while at work, and without hitting any keys, be able to see whether I have any missed calls. Any info from Blackberry owners would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

Is it because I dont have a data plan? All I see is the Blackberry Messenger.

I need a new phone badly and I have the verizon network. I thought about the new voyager but it doesn’t open attachments in emails. I think I might get the blackberry pearl but would anyone recommend the treo? Or something else on the Verizon network?
