This is soooooo frustrating. I’ve been wanting a blackberry for a long time and just recently bought one (the BLACKBERRY 1700g) on ebay and it says that it plays polyphonic ringtones and it also says “custom ringtones supports MIDI and ADPCM formats”, what does that actually mean? I want to be able to play actual real tones on it with words. Is it possible to do that? And if so, how do I go about doing that?
Just curious if it’s possible to have the screen on my blackberry light up when receiving a text when profile is set to vibrate? If not the screen, how about the rollerball? I know they both light up when receiving a call when profile is set to a ring…but I’m looking for it to happen when it’s on vibrate. Thanks!

I recently bought a Palm Treo 750W from Cingular. My company uses Lotus Notes. Other employees at my company with earlier models of the Treo have Blackberry Connect (BBC) that pushes their Lotus Notes email from the Blackberry server to their Treo. I can’t find a version of BBC that will work with my Treo 750W. Does one exist? If not, is it being developed?

I recently started my own business and like the benefits of the blackberry. I do not have access to a blackberry server. I have the Cingular service. Can I still use a blackberry or should I opt for something like the Black Jack that uses Cingular’s own network?
I am just coming off of a contract with MTS for a phone, and am looking to upgrade to a BlackBerry. Does anyone know who is the best service provider in Manitoba for BlackBerrys? I need a plan with E-mail, Web, Unltd text, and also a good calling plan.
The current providers I’m looking at are Rogers, MTS & Telus. AT&T is not in Canada.
